SA M1 Service Grades Consecutive 2560213 2560214
Pair of consecutively serial numbered M1 Garands manufactured by Springfield Armory in February of 1944. Both of these rifles are typical CMP service grades with a mix of parts. Rifle 213 is on top in all pictures.
Rifle 2560213 has an SA 6-50 barrel that gauges TE=2 M=1 with a bright bore. -6 modified op rod, -18 bolt with an A-4◊ heat lot. -12 trigger housing, -2 hammer, -1 trigger guard. Stock and handguards are USGI, but no stamps remain.
Rifle 2560214 has an SA 5-44 barrel that could be original, TE=3 m=2+. Unmodified -9 op rod, -2 bolt with an RE4C heat lot. SA 65 trigger housing with typical post war parts. Stock appears to be a WW2 short channel with square bottom clip latch cut. Only visible stamps are 2 faint rebuild proof P’s on the face of the grip.
This pair of rifles would make an excellent addition to any collection, as WW2 consecutive numbers are rarely seen. Please see all pictures for details before bidding.
