1899 Krag-Jorgensen Cavalry Carbine 284708
Model 1899 Krag-Jorgensen Cavalry Carbine. This carbine was manufactured by Springfield Armory, most likely in in early 1901. This carbine appears to be correct, with the headless cocking piece, handguard and stock. Rear sight elevation slide screw is broken off, and the front swivel is bent. Stock has a crack under the magazine cutoff, and behind the trigger guard. No inspector’s stamp is visible, but the fancy P proof is clear. Bore is mostly bright with some dark spots, and the headspace is within spec.
This carbine would make an excellent addition to any collection. Please see all pictures for details before bidding.
