Remington M1903A3 Carbine Conversion 3784676
M1903A3 manufactured by the Remington Arms Co. Serial number 3784676 makes this a late 1942 production.
This particular 03A3 has been converted by an unknown entity for unknown reasons into a carbine. The 2 groove barrel has been cut down to 18.75”, recrowned and rebated for the bayonet and front sight. TE=2.5, M=1 with a dark bore. Stock has been shortened to match the barrel length, and all metal has been painted black. 3 holes have been drilled in the comb, possibly to hold spare cartridges. The length of pull has been shortened by ½” and the buttplate refitted. This rifle has been gauged for headspace and appears to be 100% functional.
