M1 Garand SA WWII Correct 3746069
M1 Garand manufactured by Springfield Armory. This rifle was manufactured in May of 1945. This rifle appears to be 100% original and correct. Barrel side markings are 3-SA-5-45, TE=2 M=1+. This rifle is as it came to CMP from the DoD.
Gas Cylinder has a single punch mark on bottom of bayonet lug, and a small letter W on top of rear ring. Gas Cylinder Lock is chamfered and lock screw is a P o.
Bolt is a -19 SA bolt with A-8 heat lot. Op rod is a flat side unmodified -9.
Rear sight is a type 3 lockbar with unmolested staking. Follower is marked 13, no bevel follower arm, stamped no notch bullet guide. Square front clip latch. -14 SA trigger housing with -7 hammer, stamped trigger guard with milled hook, hammer spring plunger has no guide wings and rounded sides. SA-11 Safety.
The stock on this rifle is a very nice example of an SA/NFR stock, with a clear ordnance wheel and P proof. Handguards appear to be WWII SA and match the stock finish.
This is a very nice example of the US Rifle Cal. 30 M1 as issued in WWII, and would be an excellent addition to any collection. Please see all pictures for details before bidding.
