Plugged and Altered Rod Bayonet Stock

This is a Springfield Armory M1903 rod bayonet stock. The foreend tip has been plugged and stamped with a small "s" to indicate alteration for the M1906 cartridge (.30-06). The rod bayonet channel is visible in the barrel channel. The stock has since been altered to lower the wood profile and add two stock bolts. The stock has been moderately sanded and has some staining. The stock also has several brass-primed crack repairs. The stock is in fair condition. These stocks are seldom seen.
