Springfield Armory M1903 SN 1444444

Springfield Model 1903 rifle in very good condition, ME 3+ TE 4, tag reads:

"This rifle was assembled from a barreled receiver and period parts. The barrel is probably original to the receiver. The metal has a black parkerized finish. The bolt has a NS on top of the bolt root. The barrel is marked SA 9-28. Bore is shiny and shows some wear.

The C stock is a pre-war with a "S" and "9" (for 1939) in the cut off recess and drawing number D1836 in front fo the rear swivel. It has a BAWL cartouche plus a single serif P proof mark. There are four other stampings which are probably greek. Stock has very.."
