M1 Garand Springfield Armory 3630583 Like New
U.S. Rifle Caliber .30 M1 manufactured by Springfield Armory. This rifle is serial number 3630583, manufactured in March of 1945. This an excellent example of an SA M1, and appears be unissued. This rifle features a very nice stock with a SA/GAW inspectors stamp and ordnance wheel.
Trigger housing is a -18 SA. Stamped trigger guard with milled hook, -8 SA hammer, hammer spring plunger has no guide wings and flat sides. SA-11 safety, SA trigger with forge numbers. Trigger pin, hammer pin and clip ejector spring are blued, hammer spring is in the white.
Straight cut -9SA unmodified op rod, riveted long fork follower rod, -12 SA follower, all other small parts are typical late WW2 Springfield. -19 bolt with an A-8 heat lot. Typical late WW2 SA gas system with matching finish, P ∆ lock screw.
Barrel is SA 3-45, TE=1+ M=1 with a mirror bore. Stamped and brazed lower band, stamped handguard clip. Rear sight is typical WW2 SA with type 3 lockbar, SA closed arrow windage knob and elevation cap. Staking on pinion is undisturbed, and pinion is in the white.
This is a very nice example of a Springfield Armory M1 Garand, and finding a nicer example would be difficult. Please see all pictures for details before bidding.
