M1 Carbine Service Grade National Postal Meter 4203439
Carbine has an PO Q marked front sight on an undated Marlin barrel with an ME of 2 and a SA marked type III band. The receiver is set in a high wood oval cut stock that has been sanded in the sling well but has a crisp W.R.A. over G.H.D. cartouche and small crossed cannons, with an IO 2 rivet handguard, and unknown recoil plate. It has a W.I. magazine catch and a flat face push button safety in an Inland trigger housing, with probably a H.I. straight hammer and unknown sear, all kept by a DA-Q 169 type II slide. It comes with an I.R.CO. 7160060 stamped adjustable rear sight.
