This is a Model 1903 rifle low serial number Springfield 243771.
Muzzle Gauge: 0.5
Throat Gauge: 1.5
This rifle has a 4-grooved barrel stamped "SA 05," and the bore is in fair condition with some rust. The front handguard of this rifle has a large crack in it. The lower band of this rifle is stamped with "U" on the side of it, and the bayonet lug is stamped with "H." The buttplate and stock metal has some rust and pitting. The stock of this rifle is an S stock and appears to be a GI stock with dings and scratches, but the stampings are very faint.
