This is a field grade Model 1903A1 rifle Springfield Armory 1480234.
The barrel is an SA barrel dated 1-38; the bore is in good condition with little rust and is 4-grooved. The muzzle gauge is a 2, and the throat gauge is a 4. This rifle has a C stock is a GI stock with some dings and scratches and a moderately sized crack at the tang and is stamped "RA-P" and "S." The bolt is two-ported with good headspacing and a stamping of "NS." There also appears to be a remnant of a stamp on the underside of the bolt. A stamp of "H" on the bayonet lug, "U" on the lower band, and "5" on the sight base can be seen. The trigger is grooved. It has a star gauge record number of B over 1792; the rear sight base has a drawing number of C64112, meaning it is a National Match drawing number. The buttplate is also a national match. This rifle's metal parts have been refinished and has no CV parts.
