DESCRIPTION
This is a Plugged and Altered Springfield Armory M1903 rod bayonet stock. The foreend tip has been plugged and the upper band screw hole has been plugged and re-drilled to indicate alteration for the M1906 cartridge. The rod bayonet channel is visible in the barrel channel. The stock has since been altered to lower the wood profile and add two stock bolts. The stock has been heavily sanded and has a moderate chip above the left grasping groove. The stock is in poor condition. These stocks are seldom seen.
