This is an M1 Garand drill rifle SA 2784713.
This rifle has not been demilitarized to current industry standards and is neither considered safe to fire nor is it a functional rifle. CMP does not condone the repair of drill rifles to functional rifles, and the risk is fully assumed by the customer and gunsmith.

Markings: Cast on follower arm; Proof marking on stock; Stamped "P" on bottom of receiver.
This rifle's barrel is welded to the receiver underneath the rear handguard; even though the barrel is unobstructed, THIS RIFLE IS UNSAFE TO FIRE.
This rifle has been chrome-plated thoroughly on most of its area.
The wood of this rifle is GI wood that has been heavily lacquered and has some imperfections, especially a cracked rear handguard.
The sling from the pictures is included with this rifle.
