This is a Model 03-A3 rifle with scant stock Remington 4001957.
This rifle has an RA barrel dated 9-43. It has an okay bore with some to no rust/pitting and 4 grooves. The muzzle gauge of this rifle is a 0, and the throat gauge is a 2. This is a scarce rifle as it is in the range of overlap with some 03-A4 rifle serial numbers. This rifle possesses the correct barrel and bolt for this receiver. A stamping of "R" can be observed on the stacking and front sling swivels, upper band, front and rear sights, bolt and handle, safety, and on/off switch. An additional stamping of "A" can be found on the front sight blade. This rifle has okay headspacing. The wood of this rifle is GI wood with some imperfections and is moderately lacquered. The stock of this rifle is a scant stock with a stamping of "RA-P" on the side.
