This is a Model 03-A4 rifle with a C stock Remington 4997868.
The barrel of this rifle is an RA barrel dated 1-44, with the proof marking visibly stamped beneath it. The muzzle gauge is 0 and throat gauge is 2+. The bore of this rifle is in okay condition with some rust/pitting and is a two-grooved barrel. The bolt of this rifle is an A4 bolt. Most of the parts appear to be Remington parts, as the bolt and handle, safety, on/off switch, stacking swivel, front and rear sling swivel, and upper band all possess stamings of "R." The stock of this rifle was replaced but possesses an "FPJ" cartouche as well as proof markings. Where 03-A4 is stamped you can see where it was mistakenly stamped 03-A3 and was crossed out and the number 4 was added. The wood of this rifle is GI wood with some imperfections.
