This is a Model 1903 Mark I with S stock Springfield Armory 1106377.
The barrel of this rifle is SA barrel dated 3-20 with visible proof marking. The muzzle reading is 0 and the throat reading is 2. The Bore of this rifle is in okay condition with some rust/pitting. The barrel is a Four-grooved barrel. A "H" is stamped on the bayonet lug. A proof mark and RIA/FK AND RA-P cartouches appear on the stock. There is a punch mark on the bolt handle.
Other Information: "During World War I, the United States secretly developed the Pedersen device attachment for the M1903 Springfield rifle that allowed it to fire a .30 caliber (7.62 mm) pistol type cartridge in semi-automatic mode.This attachment was developed to allow an infantryman to convert "his rifle to a form of submachine gun or automatic rifle" in approximately 15 seconds." This rifle has the cutout where the magazine would have attached.
