The barrel is an HRA 3-52; the bareel doesn't fit the serial number range, but you must remember this was the end of the production for HRA. Springfield Armory Research Service records reveal that ma large number of H&R M1 rifles were shipped to the Pueblo Ordnance Depot and the Anniston Ordnance Depot between October 5, 1956 and November 19, 1956. A second sizeable shipment of H&R rifles were sent to Anniston on February 21, 1957. The serial numbers in this second shipment ranged from 6034331 to 6034648. The subsequent disposition of these rifles is not known, but presumably some were sent to various units for issuance and others were likely put into storage.
This is a beautiful HRA, plus a 6 million HRA.
