DESCRIPTION

This is a Springfield Model 1903 rifle 220125.

This item has an original barrel dated S.A./05. The bore is shiny. The TE gauges at 4.5 and the Muzzle gauges at 1.5. Headspace is okay. This is an early alteration rifle originally manufactured in .30-'03 caliber. The rifle was returned to Springfield Armory Circa 1909 and altered to .30-'06 caliber. Rifle has been overhauled, refinished, and reassembled from mixed parts. This item has approximately 90% finish. 2-bolt, straight grip Remington 03-A3 stock, unmarked. Springfield straight handle bolt marked "I7" beneath safety lug.
