DESCRIPTION

Springfield Model 1903 rifle S/N: 7889.

This rifle has a barrel marked "AV/12-18." The throat gauges at 1+ and the muzzle gauges at 3+. The bore is lightly frosted. Headspace is okay. Early Springfield rod bayonet receiver with blue finish and crisp markings. It has 70% finish. Rifle has been overhauled, re-barreled and re-assembled from mixed parts. Rifle has "s" stock. Unmarked 2-bolt grasping groove stock has been scraped. Springfield straight handle bolt marked "C6" beneath safety lug. (information per tag.)
