DESCRIPTION
Rock Island 1903 s/n: 1293222 rifle.
This rifle has the original barrel marked "S.A./9-28." The throat gauges at 2+ and the muzzle gauges at 2. The bore is dull. The headspace is okay. This is one of less than 2,000 receivers shipped from Rock Island in 1926 and given a Springfield serial number. Rifle has been overhauled and re-assembled from mixed parts. Unmarked 2-bolt straight grip stock. Rifle has "S" stock. No finish on metal. Remington curved handle '03-A3 bolt. Receiver has hatcher hole. (information per tag.)
