Rock Island Model 1903 rifle 1293096.
This rifle has a barrel marked "R.I.A./9-18." It is believed to be original. The Muzzle gauges at 1 and the Throat gauges at 3. Headspace is okay. This rifle's receiver is one of less than 2,000 shipped to Springfield in 1926 and given a Springfield serial number. Rifle has been overhauled, refinished and re-assembled from mixed parts. Unmarked scant stock, curved handle bolt. 90% finish. Shiny bore, sharp rifling. Springfield WWII bolt marked "R4" on top of the handle (All information per tag).
