DESCRIPTION
SA M1 Garand Receiver 40662
Springfield Armory produced this receiver in May 1940. The wide rib receiver was produced from April 1940 to early June 1940. This receiver does have the Wide Rib. The wide rib was an experiment in trying to eliminate the 7th round stoppage failure. A very rare receiver to find in it is original unaltered state with low guide ribs and original finish. This looks to be original finish.
