WWII Camillus Carbine M4 Bayonet w/Scabbard

Camillus Cutlery Company from Camillus, New York produced an estimated 332,000 M4's in the first production period of 1944-45. This Bayonet was produced for the M1 Carbine and has a leather handle grip. It comes with the USM8A1 Scabbard. Scabbard is marked with TWB.

The M4 Bayonet-Knife is the first knife bayonet designed, as the name suggests, as a dual purpose weapon. Experience during the early part of WW2 showed that even though a bayonet still had its place in combat, it would be more useful if it could also be used as a knife.
