DESCRIPTION
U.S M1 U.F.H Bayonet
In 1942 a request was made by the Calvary Board for the length of the bayonet blade to be reduced to 10 inches. This allowed for the bayonet to be more readily carried on the belt by individiuals mounted on horses.
