Pattern 1853 Enfield Rifled Musket
Highlights:
Percussion Lock complete in poor condition-loosely assembled, the main spring needs to be pressed into position.
Lock plate mounting bolts with escutcheons.

1 barrel band (which is unclear),
Markings & Other information: The pattern 1853 Enfield was used extensively during the American Civil War by both Union and Confederate troops but mainly by the Confederates. The Lock-plate is stamped “Tower 1862” and has the Crown associated with Queen Victoria. The main spring needs to be pressed into position.
