Springfield Armory Type 2 National Match M1 Garand. Metal parts are in Very Good condition with Very Good military finish. REC has little cosmetic wear. Rear sight set is purpose built NM w/ fine thread windage knob and base as well as hooded aperture. BBL is SA 10/54 NM stamped. Breech face in the white. Headspace is Very Good and bore is bright w/ little wear. Op rod is NM stamped w/ Very Good specifications. Stock is new CMP wood w/ new production metal. Gas cylinder has rear ring and shelf modified to relieve/ remove contact with BBL and NM front sight with .062 blade installed. Contact points on the bolt have been polished as well as bolt/ hammer interaction points. Disconnector and both front and rear hammer hooks have been cut/ modified to improve trigger engagement.
