Springfield Armory Service Grade M1 Garand part of a pair with duplicate serial numbers with an M1903 Drill Rifle. Receiver is in Very Good Condition w/ Very Good military finish. Heel has darker color, indicating it has been annealed during rebuild. Barrel is SA 8/44 w/ bright bore and good readings. Stock is IHC with Julian Date code in the barrel channel. Wood is in Good condition w/ dents and dings throughout. Balance of small parts are of mixed manufacture.

Markings & Other information: Part of a duplicate SN pair with an M1 Garand
Springfield 1903 that has been welded and demilitarized. Receiver and Barrel are welded together, chamber plugged and welded, barrel is torch cut on the underside, bolt face is welded, firing pin broken, and magazine cut-off welded in the “OFF” position. Rear sight is serviceable, but the ladder is bent. Other small parts and stock hardware are in serviceable condition. Stock is serviceable “C” stock w/ dents and dings. Handguard is serviceable but has a crack in the front near the front band. Front sight blade has been removed.
