7.62mm NATO, Mark 2, Mod 1.  

Rifle is in overall Very Good condition. Metal shows Very Good military finish throughout. Receiver and action parts are in Very Good Shape w/ some signs of wear/ use. Rifle has 9-65 SA Mk2 MOD 1 purpose built 7.62mm barrel. Bore is bright w/ Excellent readings, breech face is in the white.  Stock is post-war replacement that has been bedded to the action. Stock and handguards have polished finish and show little cosmetic wear or damage. The rifle has several accurizing modifications.

Match/ Accurizing modifications:

• Hooded rear aperture and hole drilled for ½ MOA windage mod in rec (spring, steel ball, and modified windage knob were not on rifle)

• Bolt polished at contact points.

• Stock is bedded to action. Heel, sides, and legs of receiver bedded in stock as well as the trigger group.

• Hammer hooks modified to improve trigger, contact points polished

• Lower band and both handguards bedded firmly to each other and the barrel

• Gas cylinder rear ring and tab modified for clearance on barrel and handguard.

• Bolt, Stock and Trigger guard are marked with the last 4 digits of the serial number (9609)

• Solid single slot lock screw installed.

• Belly of barrel polished where op rod travels
