Mann Accuracy Device
Mann Accuracy Devices (MADs) were used by both US military and commercial companies to test the accuracy of ammunition. MADs have a very thick barrel and were mounted to prevent movement during firing so that the only variable was the ammunition itself.

The receiver is a complete Springfield M1903 receiver with the only difference being the follower has been ground flat on top. The barrel is a special “Bull” barrel designed for testing ammunition accuracy. There is no stock.
