The rifle is in overall Very Good condition. The metal parts have Very Good military finish throughout w/ some contact points purposely polished. The receiver and action parts are all in Very Good serviceable condition w/ Very Good military finish showing very little wear. The bolt has the last 4 of the SN inscribed along the top. The top and bottom of the bolt have been polished at the contact points along w/ the op rod cam lug. A factory SA 7.62mm barrel (9-65 w/ drawing number of 11010457) is installed on the receiver. The bore is bright w/ Very Good T/M readings and passes headspace checks on SAAMI spec, .308 WIN gauges. The belly of the barrel has been polished where it contacts the op rod during normal operation. The stock is a late replacement w/ no visible markings. The action has been bedded to the stock and the last 4 of the SN are stamped just forward of the heel area under the right edge of the receiver. The handguards have been epoxied to the lower band and cut for clearance. The front handguard has had its liner removed and front ferrule opened to free float it from the barrel. The gas cylinder has had the rear ring bored out, the rear face trimmed, and the corners of the rear shelf clearanced to ensure no contact w/ the barrel or handguard. The trigger and sear have been modified for a cleaner pull. The trigger bow itself has been cut and modified. The last 4 of the SN are etched into the magazine plate. The hammer spur and bolt contact point have been polished. The stock bedding prevents the installation of a .308 spacer. Parts are of mixed manufacturer.
