Rifle is in overall Good condition. Good military finish throughout w/ light wear at normal rub points. Receiver has X prefix serial number. Rear sight is fine thread NM base and knob giving the rifle ½ MOA windage adjustments. Barrel is SA 5-54 w/ bright bore, good T/M readings, and 1960 NM barrel code. “NM” stamped on the left side between the gas cylinder rings. Stock and handguards have been poly coated. Stock is bedded at receiver contact points w/ 1-67 and 7984 stamped in the forend. Front hand guard is bedded and screwed to lower band. The gas cylinder has had the rear ring bored out and the shelf modified to prevent contact w/ the front hand guard and barrel. The trigger doesn’t appear to have any modification.
