Rifle is in overall Very Good condition. Very Good military finish on metal parts throughout. Receiver has very little visible wear. Bolt has been polished at the contact points and has the last 4 of the serial number etched into the top. Barrel is a SA 9-65 7.62mm Mk2 Mod 1 in Very Good condition. Bore is bright, T/M readings are Excellent, and the breech face is in the white. The underside of the barrel has been polished where it makes contact w/ the op rod. The trigger assembly has been match conditioned by polishing and modifying the engagement surfaces of the hammer hooks and sear. The hammer has had the bearings surfaces polished and the hooks shortened to improve the feel of the second stage. The last 4 of the serial number has been etched into the magazine plate. The stock set is a late replacement. The stock has been glass bedded and sealed w/ poly. The last 4 of the serial number has been stamped into the stock under the left side of the receiver heel. The hand guards have been epoxied to the lowerband and barrel. The front ferrule has also been epoxied in place. The gas cylinder has had the rear ring and shelf modified to free float it from the barrel and front hand guard ferrule. Parts are of mixed manufacturer.
