This rifle is in overall very good condition. The metal parts have very good military finish throughout. Some parts are purposely polished in an effort to improve function. The receiver is in excellent condition. A hole is drilled under the windage knob to house a ball bearing and spring that works w/ the modified windage knob to accomplish true ½ MOA windage adjustments. The aperture is a hooded NM style that allows for ½ MOA elevation adjustment when the hood is turned 180 degrees. The bolt has been polished on its bearing surfaces. The barrel is a SA 4-54 w/ a bright bore and T/M readings consistent w/ those of a well used match gun. The belly of the barrel has been polished where it makes contact w/ the op rod. The stock and handguards are a post WWII SA set. The stock has been bedded to the action and the front ferrule has been epoxied and screwed to the forend. The front handguard and lowerband have been combined in the same manner. The trigger group has been modified to improve trigger feel and reset but is not done in the typical AFPG style. Parts are of mixed manufacturer.
