Markings & Other information: 

This rifle is in overall very good condition. The metal parts have very good military finish throughout w/ little wear. The receiver is from July of 1943 and has evidence of lead annealing on the heel. The barrel is a factory 7.62mm SA from 12-65. SA stamped the purpose built barrels w/ “7.62mm” but the contractor that installed the barrel also stamped “AMF -P- 7.62 NATO” on the side as well. The chamber is at 7.62x51 standards which is a bit longer than commercial .308. The stock is a late replacement w/ some dents and dings but is in overall very good condition. Parts are from mixed manufacturers.
