This rifle is in overall very good condition. The stock set is a new CMP reproduction stock with excellent finish and little to no wear markings. All metal parts have excellent finish and show minimal signs of wear. Many parts have “NM” stampings. The receiver heat lot Z15C and bolt drawing number 6528287-SA was used for Type 1 NM in 1953. The rear sight base, windage knob, aperture, front sight, and gas cylinder is stamped NM that started on Type 1 NM in 1959. The windage knob is also stamped DRC and elevation knob stamped WCE. The aperture is stamped NM 520 and front sight stamped NM 062. The LMR barrel drawing number D6535448 A23 was used on NM Type 2 in 1960 and the op rod with drawing number 7790722-SA was used on NM Type 2 starting in 1961. Other parts may be of mixed manufacturers.
