Other information: Inland M1 Carbine Service Grade Post WWII Experimental Rifle.
This rifle was probably produced after WWII. The 100 “X” prefix serial numbers were not assigned by the U.S. Government and are listed in RC Larson’s book as experimental. What was being tested is unknown. This rifle is in excellent condition and functions without any issues. The receiver is a type II with a type I trigger housing. The receiver and barrel both have excellent finishes. The Stock is an Inland High Wood oval cut in excellent condition with few dents or dings. Identifiable parts are mainly Inland. Included is an olive drab sling with “C” tips and an oiler marked SI. One magazine included.
