The Serial number on this rifle is below the safe SN range for Springfield manufactured model1903s. The receiver has a good color which shows some wear and has been drilled and tapped for a sight mount on the right rear. The barrel is from a 1903-A3 so there is no rear sight mounting block. The barrel has a bright bore and very good muzzle and throat readings. The Stock is a “C” type with a good finish and few dents and dings. Parts are from mixed manufacturers. The bolt is a straight bolt in keeping with the history of the receiver. Due to its low serial number, this rifle has not been test fired and has been rendered inoperative. This rifle does not pass headspace. This rifle is sold AS IS for display purposes only.
