The serial number on this rifle is below the safe range for Springfield manufactured model 1903s. This rifle does not pass head space, and the barrel has extensive pitting and rings and is considered unserviceable. The receiver has a good color which shows some light wear. The barrel matches the production year of the receiver. The Stock is a “C” type with a good finish and few dents and dings. Parts are from mixed manufacturers. This rifle is sold AS IS for display purposes only. Due to its low serial number and unserviceable barrel this rifle has not been test fired and has been rendered inoperative.
