Markings & Other information:  

This rifle is in overall excellent condition.  This rifle has been accurized.  The receiver has an excellent finish, the Krieger barrel has a good finish, excellent muzzle and throat readings and a bright bore.  The stock and handguards are late replacements that have been modified for competition.  Parts are from mixed manufacturers with an eye towards competition. 

The following was done to accurize the rifle:  

The stock has been poly coated to prevent moisture absorption and has been fully bedded. The stock is also stamped with the last four of the SN and the date 11/72, also the letters J J H are stamped into the barrel channel. The front ferrule has been unitized. 

The handguards are bonded together with the lower band and poly coated to prevent moisture absorption.   

The Gas Cylinder rear ring has been reamed out to prevent contact and the rear tail has been dovetailed to prevent contact. 

National Match rear sight group with a national match windage knob and national match hooded aperture (.520). 

National Match front sight with the post polished and the side marked NM .062.   

Single Slot Gas Lock Screw with no poppet valve.
