This rifle is in excellent overall condition. Both the receiver and barrel retain excellent finishes, and the barrel date corresponds appropriately with the receiver’s production date. The barrel features a bright bore and excellent muzzle and throat readings.

The Springfield stock has the appropriate “SA-EMcF” (Earl McFarland) cartouche and a small ordnance escutcheon. It is in very good condition, with some cosmetic dents and dings. This rifle has been cleaned and detailed by CMP Custom Shop personnel.

All identifiable parts correspond with the rifle’s production date, except for the bullet guide and stock ferrule. Both replacement parts were in use prior to the D-Day landings. The rifle is presented in a configuration that could have been used during the D-Day invasion.
