Union Switch & Signal M1911A1 – Serial #1067900
WWII-Era Service Pistol
This authentic Union Switch & Signal M1911A1, serial number 1067900, is a fine example of one of the rarest World War II-era 1911A1 service pistols. Only about 55,000 pistols were produced by US&S in 1943, making these some of the most sought-after by collectors due to their limited production.
This pistol features a matching US&S frame and slide, both with clean original roll marks and a uniform parkerized finish. Inspection and proof marks include a circled RCD on the frame and P proof on both the frame and slide. The High Standard barrel (marked HS and P) has a bright bore with sharp rifling, indicating strong internal condition. Late GI grips show minimal wear and complement the period-correct presentation.
This is a strong candidate for collectors interested in authentic, factory-marked pistols from WWII contractors. A historically relevant and mechanically sound example.
