The overall condition of this rifle is good. The receiver was manufactured during the last month of WWII, has a worn finish and has some pitting on its face and has the SA-52 stamp on the heel indicating a 1952 rebuild at the Springfield Armory. The barrel has some pitting that is mostly covered by the rear handguard. The barrel has a bore that is dull with wear and good muzzle and throat readings. The stock is a birch late replacement that is in very good condition with few dents or dings. The parts are from mixed manufacturers.
