M1 Carbine Service Grade Rock-Ola 4568974

Carbine has an RP marked front sight on an undated Inland barrel with an ME of 1+ and a I or / marked type II band. The receiver is set in a low wood oval cut P-J stock with drill or bore marks in the slingwell, with a JLB 2 rivet handguard, and unknown recoil plate. It has a LT-Q magazine catch and a SS in circle rotary safety in a Rock-Ola trigger housing, with a LT-Q and R straight hammer and unknown sear, all kept by a Rock-Ola type III slide. It comes with a H in shield milled adjustable rear sight. Receiver bears a drill mark in the middle of the serial number, obscuring the middle digit, but bolt and slide are marked with 8974, and receiver is marked Bavaria Forestry Police.
