This is a Correct Grade Springfield Armory Model 1903 1219244
This rifle was assembled from period correct parts using an original barreled receiver with about 85% finish. The finish is a dark olive arsenal parkerized refinish. The barrel date is SA 1-21 with an A. The muzzle is gauged at 0 while the throat is gauged at 1. There are punch marks on the center of ordinance bomb and on the receiver beneath the serial number. The bore is in excellent condition with bright, strong rifling and a perfect muzzle. The bolt is a WL3. The stock has been lightly sanded. There is a Box DAL cartouche. There is also a single proof mark plus several Greek stampings in front of the magazine and between the wrist and toes. The stock has a small crack behind the tang that is offset to the right. The crack has been repaired with what appears to be a walnut dowel. It is an all-around successful repair. The stock is an attractive medium brown-red and is in very good overall condition. There are very few dents and dings.
