This is a Remington M03-A4 Sniper Rifle Z4001803

This rifle is one of approximately 2,500 which have a Z-prefix duplicate serial number.  The rifle is in fine original condition.  It has the original scant stock with crisp inspection stamps.  The metal has a good finish and the finish on the wood is smooth.  There is a small chip missing at the grip.  The scope base is missing and it has a replacement M03-A3 bolt, as received at the CMP.  Rifle had spurious M03-A3 sights which have been removed.  This rifle has 80% original finish.  It also has the original RA barrel that is dated 9-43.  The bore is dull; however, the muzzle is gauged at 0.5 while the throat is gauged at 2.  This is a 4-groove barrel.  The rifle also appears to have good headspacing.  What you see is what you get.
