Markings: DOD marking on side and on heel of, proof marking, and stamped "SA GAW" on stock; Stamped "3601801" on bottom of scope mount (matching with serial number); Stamped "W" on top of op-rod; Punch marking on bayonet lug; Stamped "P" and "O" on gas cylinder screw; Cast marking on trigger; Stamped "8" on follower; Stamped "7" on and "R" on bottom of receiver.

Other Information: Lock-bar rear sights with closed arrows; Gas cylinder screw with wide base; Rounded cuts on op-rod catch; Rounded clip latch; Hollow lower band pin; Cut op-rod; The metal parts of this rifle are fairly rusty, but it can still be cleaned.

The wood of this rifle is GI wood with dings, scrapes, and scratches.
