This is a service grade M1 Garand rifle WRA 164956.

The barrel of this rifle is a Winchester barrel, as can be seen by the faint remnant of the stamp on the barrel. The bore is in good condition with little rust and/or pitting; it is in the white.

Markings: CMP cartouche on and date of manufacture in channel of stock; Stamped "P" and "C" on bottom of receiver; Stamped "IHC" and "NHC" on gas cylinder screw; Stamped "8" on follower.\
Other Information: Rounded clip latch; Cut op-rod; Flat top gas cylinder with wide base; Flat lower band with solid pin.
The wood of this rifle is new production wood with some dings, scratches, scrapes, and/or gouges.
There is some rust in the gas cylinder screw and some other spots, but it can be cleaned.
