This is a field grade M1-C Garand sniper rifle with matching scope mount base SA 3662362.
Muzzle Gauge: 1+
Throat Gauge: 4+

The bore of this rifle is in fair condition with little rust and/or pitting; it is in the white.
Receiver: P/N D 28291 35 O 81 A
Bolt: D28287-19SA B-18
Op-Rod: 6535382 SA
Trigger Housing: 6528290-SA
Hammer: C46008-1W.R.A.
Safety: SA-11
Markings: Stamped "P" and "X" on gas cylinder screw; Stamped "2" on bottom of receiver; Stamped "12" on follower; Cast marking on trigger.
Other Information: Number on bottom of scope mount base matches the serial number of the rifle itself; Lock-bar rear sights with closed arrows; Cut op-rod.
The wood of this rifle is GI with some dings, scratches, scrapes, and/or gouges. Two DOD markings can be found on the side and heel of the stock. The proof marking can be seen a little ahead of the heel. The stock is also stamped "SA NFR" on the side and "2833" on the butt.
