Markings: Stamped "11" on follower; Punch marking on bayonet lug; Stamped "IHC" and "NHC" on gas cylinder screw; Stamped "M" on gas cylinder lock; Punch marking on follower rod.

Other Information: Lacquered wood; Painted metal; Broken safety; Early op-rod catch with rounded cuts; Cut op-rod; Flat lower band with hollow pin; Cracked rear handguard; Repaired frotn handguard.

The wood of this rifle is not GI wood with no markings of any kind and possesses some dings, scratches, scrapes, gouges, and/or cracks.

This rifle's barrel has been welded to the receiver classifying it as a drill rifle. While the barrel is not plugged and it has not been demilitarized to a sufficient standard, this rifle is still very much considered unsafe to fire in its current condition. CMP does not condone the repairation of drill rifles, and the risk in doing so is assumed by the customer and gunsmith.
