This is a modified Model 1899 Krag carbine Springfield Armory 352066.
The muzzle gauge is a 3, and there is a stamping of "O" on the underside of the loading mechanism. There appears to have been a stamp on the underside of the bolt handle, but it is now worn down. There is a stamp and appears to be a worn down proof marking on the stock. Other than these, there aren't any other obvious markings on the rifle. This rifle does have some rust located in various spots, but it can still be cleaned. The bore of this rifle is in fair condition with some rust, and the barrel is 22" in length, fitting the correct length for a Krag carbine barrel. However, this barrel has been modified to accomodate a new front sight and longer stock than original. It is unknown whether this barrel was modified from a carbine or rifle barrel. The stock is a GI stock with some dings, scratches, and scuffs.
Sold as is.
