DESCRIPTION
This is a Model 1899 Krag carbine Springfield 344396.
This rifle has around 40% of the original finish remaining. The barrel is the 22" unmodified carbine barrel, and the bore is in fair condition with some to little rust and/or pitting. The muzzle gauge is a 0+. This rifle has good headspacing. There is a stamp on the underside of the bolt handle and on the stock; this rifle is stamped "O" on the loading mechanism, "8" on the rear sight base, and "U" on the band. Aside from these, there are no other defining characteristics of this rifle. The wood of this rifle is GI with some dings, scratches, scrapes, and/or gouges.
